Erawan National Park

Erawan National park was founded in 1975 as the 12th National park of Thailand. Located in West Thailand in the Tenasserim Hills of Kanchanaburi Province. It is one of the most famous national parks in Thailand. This due to the close distance to Bangkok but also because the beautiful waterfalls. The waterfalls have 7 different levels and you have to climb to reach them all. On the 4th level is a natural water slide which is suitable for people. The water ponds near the waterfalls are a popular location for swimming. The water is so clear and fresh that you can often see many big fishes and swim between them ! Some of the fishes will even eat the dead skin from your feet. A more natural and healthy fish spa can’t be found anywhere. Besides swimming in the waterfalls the Erawan National Park is also very attractive for bird watchers and orchid hunters. The Erawan National Park is 60 km away from Kanchanaburi city. You can take a bus from here (1,5 hours). Another option is to rent a car or a scooter bike.
